When I got my Verizon telephone bill there were two charges for January and February that added up to $89.90. It was for Weblinx service. I had no idea what this was about until I decided to check it out on the internet. I found that this PayOne billing can add services to the telephone bill that a person may not even know about.
It makes me very angry to know that Verizon is letting them do this. I needed to know the amount of my bill last month, but because I did not have the account number with me or a pin number I was not able to get the information I needed. This is because we now have Title 13 to protect personal information. Well all it really does is keeps our personal information from us, but not the scammers.
After reading about this happening to other people, I know that a telemarketor must have gotten me to say "yes" to something. I try to be careful, but sometimes I let my guard down. Someone is always calling to update the yellow pages and with so many telephone books out there I do not know whom I should talk to.
I do not think anyone wants more charges added to their telephone bill. Verizon should never add charges without checking with the customer first. After adding the extra charges, Verizon states on the bill that you have to call PayOne and not Verizon about the extra charges. What gets me, is this PayOne Company can charge you even though you never gave them a billing address. Verizon just lets them use your telephone number to add charges. This is wrong and I will be calling Verizon about blocking 3rd caller charges.
Becareful of who you talk on the phone and becareful how you answer or this company will get you.

You didn't, but SOMEONE did.

They don't just randomly make up charges to put on your bill.
Someone who has access to your phone, and has a minimum knowledge of your information such as name and address, either called, texted, or requested the "service" online, claiming they had permission to do so. Almost invariably it turns out to be one of the kids in the same household, or someone staying at the residence. Of course they will DENY it.
Have all 3rd party billing and "services" blocked.
