PeoplePC. Bounced from Allvantage.com to Peoplepc. downloaded but never got member name. but charged!! ? Internet

Got bounced from allvantage.com because they stopped dialup service but were bounced to peoplepc. As I downloaded Peoplepc they would not give me my sign on name I had with allvantage.com. So I called peoplepc and told them to cancel. That was back in June 2007. The hardly speaking english person told me I will not be charged.

Got my credit card statement7/30/07 and I was charged $9.95 for July 2007 a service I never used. Remember they would not let me have my sign on name which I've had for 10 years. I had peoplepc years ago when they used to give a free computer for 2 years service and after 2 years you were to get a new computer. well after 2 years they refused me a new computer saying my credit was no good. Never missed one payment to them. They were ready to go out of buisness so they really didn't want to give computers no more atlest that's what I felt.

If you were a member years ago all info is still in their computers. Like your member name. That's why I couldn't have my sign on name because they still have my name in their computers as a member. I called today and the broken english person told me ..oh when you called to cancel I was to get a cancel number. I explained the person I talked to never gave me one. She raised her voice and told me I was supposed to get one! How did I know that??. Well she gave me a cancel number and told me this is my only way to prove I cancelled.

So I asked her..Am I still being chargedfor a service I never used?. She said yes you are charged. Then she told me that I will get a free month of peoplepc and if I didn't like it I could cancel later. I told her I didn't want peoplepc before and called to cancel. I don't want it now. Rewmember I don't have a sign on name never picked one never got one. So I couldn't get online though peoplepc if I tried. But being charged for services never wanted or used. I blame Allvantage.com too. They gave all my info to peoplepc even credit card number!!. Watch out for this rip off. Now it's the end of july but I bet I will be charged for August also.
