Power Tax Relief RIP-OFF!! DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!! Los Angeles California

I contacted Power Tax relief after seeing them on Fox News - I was (like everyone else) guarnteed to have my past taxes taken care of for "just pennies" for the small fee of $3900.00!!

Originally I spoke to Mark Allen - who was the nicest person and understood my frustration with trying to solve my past taxes myself. As soon as I wired the money, he was no longer with the company (after having been there for over 15 years!) Next came Lisa Wong. Lisa has got to be the most incompetant "lawyer" on earth! Her excuses for not calling me or returning a single email was that "she's a busy person". In the last year, my account has been transfered to over 3 people.

I followed and responded to every infomration request sent to me in a timely manner. I even had to redraft my Offer in Compromise because Lisa had all the information incorrect - basically, I did all the paperwork and all Power Tax did was put a stamp on it.

What Power Tax doesn't tell you is that majority of people make too much money for any Offer in Compromise. You have to be below poverty level to qualify.

After numerous phone calls and email to Power Tax I was told to write a letter requesting a refund - which I did. The letter was signed for on August 11, 2008 - I have been trying to get someone on teh phone since then (it is now October 6, 2008). I have been told that my account is being worked on by Nancy Aguirre & Kay (who has never answered the phone). Everytime I call , I'm put on hold for over 20 minutes - NOBODY is ever available - they are always in a meeting or on the phone to the IRS.

However, Power Tax Relief did have the time to file paperwork with the IRS removing them as my Power of Attorney which allows them to work on my behlf on September 22, 2008 and yet, I have still not heard from anyone.

After reading this website, I contacted the Federal trade Commission at 877-382-4357 and the Attorny General Office 800-952-5225.

I don't know if it will do anything but, at least I can try and make it harder for them to do business! Whatever you do - DO NOT do buisness with this company! They are thieves and liars and will STEAL your money!!!
