Public Moving Services Beware: Scammers of the worst kind Charlotte North Carolina

These people were crooks from beginning to end.

They start with a low ball offer, then request a down payment. My salesman James McCarthy, gave me a binding estimate of $2,098 for a studio apt.  The night before pick-up, they call and "revise inventory list" to increase price (1'st increase).  Received a call from Danny Dimare informing me it would be an additional $872; On pick up day, you are told you went over contracted cubic feet and they need more money (2nd price increase). I then received a call from customer service asking for an additional $3,700.  If and when your belongings do arrive, mine after several delays, you are told it will cost even more money (3rd price increase) or they will just drive away with your belongings and you will be charged for storage and sued if you don't pay.

In my case, they just left half of my belongings behind saying they wouldn't fit on the truck, after I just payed them the 2nd price increase. When I did receive the other half of my belongings......what was left? They lost my 60' smart tv and the headboard to my bed and several boxes. My wood furninture was either broken, gouged (not scratched) or destroyed.

At some point during the move they stopped answering my phone calls, (they rely heavily on caller ID). At one point I was told that salesmen do not take phone calls from their customers once the contract is signed, the general Manager Faith Ashford just doesnt take phone calls, dispatch doesnt accept phone calls nor does the claims department. hmmm 

Like I said, scammed from beginning to end. Run from these people
