At first, I was excited to see that someone would offer to accept an unknown author without an agent or money up front. I believe that is how most people are suckered into Publish America scam. After, my brother was murdered I had mixed emotions. The detective working his case offered very little help and I did not know which way to turn. I wanted to raise money for a reward to help capture the killer and when Publish America came along I thought God has help me find a way. I did'nt know how to write a novel because I had never written one before.

When I sent my manuscript to Publish America I thought they were going to correct my errors. When I received my first book I was surprised to see the amount of errors in the book. I had to spend a lot of money to correct the errors. Secondly, they had offered a re-write service department and I signed up for it. It was a nightmare getting them to re-write my book and it took six months and a second person to get invloved. Once, my book was written, I noticed they had all sorts of services. For example, Literary agency service, Publicist service, Radio Manager service, etc. They wanted me to sign up with these services, at so call discounted prices. That is when I started to get a bad feeling about this company because the more services I signed for the more new emails of creative services kept coming.

Finally, Publish America always adverise book signing events every week or two and they wanted me to sign up and pay money. It has been two years since I signed with the company and I never received any royalties. Publish America is a scam, con artist, and rip off company. I will never recommend anyone to them and I am seeking to cancel my contract with them right now.
