My mother signed up for this website to find a contractor to remodel her bathroom. They sent over sketchy Tim Thompson from Atlanta Tile Installers, who talked a lot of crap from day 1. After the first day that he came and did a free estimate on our bathroom, he called my phone everyday non stop for 3 weeks straight. He was begging for the job and kept asking if we made a decision to choose him as our contractor. I called Renovation Experts and spoke to a Account Rep named Lisha, and asked her for his credentials. She told me that he was legit and that he had a BBB rating of a B, and their website doesn't take anyone with a C or less.
So my mother decided to choose with him (because he was the cheapest). On his first day of work, he kept begging my mother to write him a check and promised to deposit the check once the job was completed. In the 19 hours that he was in our home, all he did was: tear down the tub, put up three or four 2X4s in the wall, and installed the drain and shower head incorrectly!! He didn't show up on the last day of work, but he sure did have enough time to deposit the check that he wasn't suppose to. We couldn't get a hold of him for a whole day. Then Renovation Experts called him and said that he was in the "hospital".
I complained about him to Sean/Shawn, another Renovation Experts representative. Sean wouldn't take his site off their website unless he got 2 complaints about him. Oh, and Sean found out that Tim Thompson doesn't have a contractor's license and he doesn't have a BBB rating of a B. It was another Tim Thompson who lived in South Carolina. The only thing Renovation Experts could do was apologize, but they wouldn't even take that scum bag off their website. Needless to say, we're out $1,450 and we will no longer use Renovation Experts to find scum bag contractors.

Hi Johnson,
I am so sorry that you also got scammed by that scumbag Tim Thompson! I wish you would have seen this post before hand. I smelt trouble the minute he walked through the door wearing raggedy sweat pants. Like you, he damaged our bathroom and incorrectly installed my mother's shower. It was awful. Having to repair it cost more than remodeling the shower itself.
We took his butt to court and won the settlement. We're still waiting on the idiot to pay us! It's been November since we won the case.
This broke scumbag NEEDS to go out of business. Let me know if I can help you with anything.

IF YOU EVER PLAN ON DOING A HOME REMODEL YOU NEED TO READ THIS. Living the bathroom remodel nightmare courtesy of Atlanta Tile Installers and Floor & Decor. I hired one of their recommended installers. What a joke. Been (9) days since they started the installation on a project they estimated would take (5). Now they have to tear out the tile a second time. Still haven't finished the vanity area, m...aster bath, or shower. Waste is running at 50%. On my dime of course. The work so far looks like it was done by a bunch of amateurs. The first couple guys didn't even have necessary experience. I had to run one of them off the property last Sunday. Floor & Decor's response; "they don't work for us. You have to work it out with the installer". Yet when they are selling you the stone the story is far different..... I will never do business with them again. It's back to Home Depot or Lowes for me. It might cost more up front but you will save in the long run not to mention the frustration and headache alone the way. Please be sure to forward this to everyone you know. Hate to see someone else go through this mess. Also go to YouTube and look for bath remodel nightmare http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=keZvvzFvnCM
