Last year I was looking for an apartment at the famous Rent.com and was happy to find a lot of great apartments in Plantation. I moved in and was promised by Harbor Town at Jacaranda that I would get my $100 reward card from Rent.com. Harbor Town acknowledge that they saw the promotion online but that it had nothing to do with them. Well on and on I contacted Rent.com regarding my rebate an as of this date I have yet to see any reward sent to me. All that was mentioned was that a check was going to be mailed. After that three months later with follow up emails, I have yet to get an email from Rent.com on rebate status. So for anyone who you know using Rent.com. Forget about the $100- reward card. I guess if I had the money I would file a fraud suit against them. Who knows how many other renters got scammed.

It took a year and rentfree eventually sent me a check for $100-. Besides the long wait I am glad that they took my complaint serious. I am satisfied.

I got a call from a representative at rent.com and per the conversation, it looks like they want to settle my dispute. I have no problem as long as I have my check. Will await status.

Dear Customer Service:
Again I am making another attempt to claim my reward card of which to this date I have yet to receive anything.
confirmation # 26483060. I emailed your company in the past several times 4/11/10, 4/26/10 and 7/19/10 and to this date I still get no response.
The last email I received from your company was acknowledging that rebate reward card was mailed on 5/25/10 and another email on the activation code on 6/19/10. But no rebate reward card was ever received.
When I tried to contact your company, your web page makes it difficult to file a complaint or even complain to the BBB because the company information cease to exist to file a complaint. It's only when I file a complaint to Rip-off report.com a year later that I get a response from your company. That's amazing.
I wonder how many customers like myself have been scammed because of your company failure to provide a better customer service policy.
I will be willing to retract my complaint only when in receipt of my $100- rebate reward card.
Be sure to know that I am also posting this email online as well to educate others.
Thanks.
