I recently moved to an apartment in Pasadena, CA after referring RENT.com as the source of the lease. I mentioned the leasing manager I have found the apartment through rent.com. In an application there was a question asking "How did you hear from us?" I wrote down "RENT.com". After requesting the rewards card to rent.com I received an email saying that the property manager denied that I refered "RENT.com". I undestand, the property manager has to pay a referal fee to rent.com if he admits. However, I have an official document. They would not take the official document but the words from the property manager.
After making several calls to rent.com, the representative said. "That property management company is our important client. We will not look at whatever you send us." If there is a dispute, they are always on the property management side. Don't RENT and RENT.com.
