My mother and father are very hard working individuals so me and my husband were greatly pleased to hear that they had found a house three years ago. They were tired of renting, as we all are, and they found their little farm house. In the process of 3 years they have made this house their home they had a little garden and did alot of remodeling. Well a few months back my mother got laid off about 6 months ago and had to cash in her 401 k to keep up with bills. She received unemployment and just as it ran out my father had an accident on the job, he needed knee surgery and in his proffesion as a roofer that didn't go well. After being denied workmans comp. because his boss tried to use his own insurance they fell flat on their face. My father was laid up and mother out of work they fell behind but only by a few months. They sent payment to their lender when they were well just to have it kicked back. They soon contacted Residential Relief Foundation and were reassured that the foreclosure of the house would stop... it didn't. Rrf did nothing but send them a binder and insisted they contact their lender themselves as well as to pretend that rrf's numbers were actually their own. It states in the contract on their website the minute this process is started they (rrf) is supposed to contact your lender well they never contacted their lender so the Fannie Mae took the house back. Apparently somewhere in the fine print Fannie Mae backed up their loan. My parents contacted Rrf as of August 30 2010 and their house was taken as of september 28 2010. they paid 1600!!!! for nothing. Please do not trust these people they are a scam and even though we lost our home we don't want any one else to fall prey to these blood sucking leeches. This is ridiculous why doesn't the government step in? Why are they letting this happen, something needs to be done.
