I was informed about this company by a co-worker of mine.  I called, talked to "Chin", was promised no more than 4% and possibly as low as 2%.  All they needed was $995.00.  I was told that if I wasn't happy, I could cancel at anytime and get a full refund.  Well, I took the chance.  Heck, my co-worker was currently working with them.  Well, once all three payments of mine went through, I stopped hearing from "Chin".  Then, I stopped hearing from everyone at the company.  I'd call, leave messages, wait on hold for hours, but nothing.  Soon, I started freaking out.  Then, I got a hold of "Chin's" boss.  He apologized, made some excuse saying that "their company was newer" and that they "had received more clients in the last month than they had employees".  He guaranteed that he would make sure the paperwork was sent out, and received by me, in no more then one week.  Two weeks later, we received the packet.

Now, prior to me going with this company, I had spoken to my lender.  They had offered me a deal, which "Chin" told me to "throw away".  I didn't, just in case.

Back to the packet; the first option that was listed, was foreclosure.  Sounding like a scam yet?  Oh yeah.  And the rate they offered?  5.1% Not even close to what they promised!  Looking through the packet, the information they include for you to fill out, is printed from the "Making Homes Affordable" website.  It even has the little "print" button in the top right corner!  Anyone who's been looking into a loan modification, knows that the "Making Homes Affordable" program is FREE!!  They are actually using a FREE program and charging $1,000.00 for it!!

So, I call my bank, beg for a new modification, they get it all done in a week, inform me that they have never heard of this company and that, despite the fact that RRF said they had been talking to my bank, they had never been contacted by RRF.  Just another lie, another deception.

Fast forward to today.  I call, wait on the phone for nearly 3 hours, on two cell phones, finally get a hold of "Omar".  After a very long conversation, with me repeatedly asking to just get my money back, he tells me "just give me until Monday and I'll try to lower the rate" and "if I can't lower the rate, we'll discuss refunding your money".  He proceeds to tell me that they have a "new" policy stating that they'll only refund a persons money after they go through the entire program.  I tell him that that was not what I was originally told, and he informs me that this is what they changed the policy to.  Needless to say, no amount of arguing got me my money back.  So, I'm forced, backed into a corner, to wait until Monday.

I read on here that some lady called and told them that she went with her lender  instead, and got her money back right away.  I think that person is a bot, working for this company.  Oh, and the "owner" that comes on here and says to call him or email him, I tried that.  The numbers listed are fake, and no one responded to the emails.  If you check the BBB website, good luck.  When I first looked, they weren't listed, and then they had a B-, and then not listed, then a D; I don't know what's up with that.

Please take it from me, stay FAR away from RRF!  They are a SCAM!

Oh, and in regards to my co-worker?  His house got foreclosed on due to this company taking their sweet a** time and ignoring their "customers".

I can't wait to hear the bot responses to this complaint.  And I can't wait to hear what they have to say when I contact my Attorney General and Tom Martino.

Dear RRF,  You scammed the wrong woman!

#3 UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mr. How

Ummm, you couldn't have called in on Dec. 8th, as the office was closed, and no call were taken as of Nov. 24th, the day before thanksgiving. Maybe you should stop trying to get your two cents in and just let the young lady tell her story, instead of trying to find a way to make a quick buck.

How did you receive your refund?  I cancelled them on Dec. 8th, before the TRO, and I can't get anything.  Thank God for my family or I wouldn't have a house.

Receiving a full refund.

So, the following Monday I finally was told that I would be getting the full refund.  Omar left a polite voicemail, saying that he was sorry things didn't work out, but verified that I would be getting the refund in 7-10 business days.  Omar was a pleasure to work with, although it was under bad circumstances.

Now today, at 1109 am, I received a nasty voicemail from Chin.  He accusses me of slander and defirmation of character.  Chin:  I'm sorry that you feel that way.  I did not lie.  I do not have any ill wishes towards you.  The company you work for, did not follow through.  I cannot delete the report, but can only update.  It's the way this site is designed.  You were a pleasure to work with in the beginning.  I know you have recordings, and they will prove that you did tell me to throw away the other modification and that you could get me at least 4% if not lower.  I was happy with the work you did, until you stopped returning my phone calls.  Again, I'm sorry that you think I slandered you.  That was not my intention.  I am upset with the company, and not any one person within it.  You are an employee, and everyone works for companies that aren't the best at times.  Again, I would remove your name if the site would allow me to do so.  I only wish you the best.

Thanks.
