I began receiving letters about a year ago from this church in another state that told me of blessings i would receive if i sent them money. They led me to beleive that if i had faith in the Lord (which i proudly do) he would bless me two or three times over.
I did as the letters instructed and i sent them what i had at the time. I never had exactlly what they were asking for but i gave with faith what i had.
I did think that it was a bit odd that they sent so many letters, two to three a week, but still i was hopefull.
I have sent them probably a total of 40 or 50 dollars over the coarse of these letters. I have not sent any money in months now but the letters keep piling in. I think its sad to use the Lord to scam people out of money. I guess i believed that if my intentions were good that it didnt matter where the money went as long as i had faith and the Lord knew of my good intentions that he would bless me anyway.
No matter how you look at it, it just isnt right.

well, considering that PRAYER is always a freebie.... to pay anyone (even in chariety) to pray, is generally for most things, a scam.
There is never a need to give $ for prayer.... ever ever.
Those who will pray for $$ are no different than scammers.
Unfortunatley, too many people out there even today still dont get it...that faith is a personal event and that there is never a need to do anything similar to St mAtthews.
