SECURUS Overcharge phone calls, unaccountability, unknown rates, impossible to reach or speak to them Greeley, Colorado

Securus, an independent company, has a contract with Weld County Jail, Greeley, CO to provide a service for inmates to make collect phone calls to people on the outside. This is an important way for inmates to speak with their loved ones, friends, attorneys, etc. My problem is the company doesn't provide rates or statements to verify the accuracy of their charges. I paid $83.91 to Securus, received three brief collect calls from my grandson (an inmate at the time) and received a refund of an unused balance of only $14.00. I have since learned others have been unable to receive an accounting from the company. This is an emotional time and an easy way to ripoff people without recourse.
