This company is a scam! Please read about A Solid Gold Sound online before going with them. I paid them in full a year ago (because if you pay in full you get free stuff). I filled the form out online and got a call from them a few hours later! I was really impressed and they sent out really nice brochures and it looked like a great company. The problem came when our wedding day approached.

The contract says they will call you three weeks in advance to work out the details and assign you a DJ (you see A Solid Gold Sound doesn't have any DJ's, they contract the work out - which is why you get underpaid crappy DJs from what I have read online). I was never called nor emailed (they had both forms of contact). Two weeks from the date I started calling them. I would be on hold forever during work hours and no one would ever pick up. If I called after hours, I could get an answering machine. I left multiple messages, none of which were returned.

Think I am joking? Call the number they provide. It is 800 number that goes into a massive calling system where you have to hit like 5 buttons just to get somewhere. To prove it further, google around and find a couple of different numbers Solid Gold Sound provides. Then call them. They all go into the same calling system. I am assuming you never speak to someone local even though you think you are. Just try it: http://www.asolidgoldsound.com/

With a week away from the wedding and having not heard from them nor been able to get a hold of them I found a new DJ. A local person who when I called they answered. My new DJ was fantastic.

My wedding was on Saturday and on Thursday night, a guy from Solid Gold Sound calls me to say "Hey I am your DJ". I told him that I had already booked a new DJ since it was now 3 days before the wedding and we had to have a DJ for our wedding and we were unable to get a hold of them. He told me if I went to their website and filled out their Cancellation form it might be possible to get a refund.

I sent in the form, and never got a refund or response.

This company is a scam site. This address isn't even listed on the Better Business Bureau website.
