My brother and I have a independent regionally touring band.  From that we started a company to distribute our music and merchandise.  We began looking for funding to help start our website and purchase product.  We ran into Synergy Pro Consulting and talked to one of their consultants about their services.  They explained how much government grant money was available for music and arts and vowed to help us find some help.  We fully explained to them our business and situation and after some convincing we paid them $6900 to help us; they explained we would get the $6900 back when we received grants in the range of $40,000- $90,000.   Their service consisted of about 7 half hour weekly phone sessions where some woman, who had no idea what our business was, who took me to different government websites and showed me how to register.

Further in to these sessions I explained that our business was a FOR PROFIT independent record label.  She wanted to change our entire business by switching to a NON-PROFIT community driven music group.  There are not grants for for-profit record labels, we fully explained our business and intentions to Synergy Pro Consultants before signing up and they were so positive we could find something.  The people I initially worked with did not work at this company about 3 months later.  I have tried calling and calling this company with no response.  I have been ripped off.  This company sold me on an unrealistic dream of receiving free money for performing art.  This situation has put a major strain in my brother and I's relationship as well as other family members who helped fund our startup.  We have been violated by this company.  Thank you Synergy Pro Consulting for tearing my family apart.
