TD Bank online banking is a scam to help the bank make money in overdraft fees.  Your online banking report will show pending transactions with your money deducted from your available balance and then charge you an overdraft fee for those transactions when they post.  For example, I have a joint checking with my husband.  We made $300 in transactions last week which were all over the internet and are pending.  Therefore the actual money in my account is $400, but the available balance shows $100 with pending tansactions totaling $300.  My husband was unawar of my purchases and used his debit card for $60.  On the same day, I used my debit card for $50, resulting in a $10 negative balance because of the double withdraw.  Therefore, we accepted the terms of paying a $35 overdraft fee for this mis communication.  HOWEVER, TD Bank charged us $105.00 for three over draft charges rather than one!!!!

There excuse was that the transaction that were pending were for more money so when they posted the same day as the two debit card transactions, we were charged for all transactions after them.  CONFUSED???...so was I!  Basically what they are saying is your available balance on your TD Bank online banking is lieing!!!!!  We should have only been charged for the one transaction where there was a miscommunication for the $10 overdraft.

I am a very organized person, keep a check book and check my account twice a day at work (literally).  I saw at 8 am the next morning the two debit card withdrawals from my husband and I and new we were going to get charged a fee.  But TD Bank's excuse for charhing us $105.00 was inexcusable and by far the worst customer service I have ever had when speaking with them about it.  They treated me like I was an indiot because I was telling them what they do to make money is wrong.  I have been a TD bank customer since I was 18 and closed all three of our accounts.  I reported them to the attorney general's office and will be sure to take this further!!!
