So here it goes This company has made me start a blog, notsmiling.com Who would of thought that this little person with one voice would now be attempting to warn other consumers about using a company that has yet to do the right thing and refund me for a service that did work?
I was taking a road trip around Europe and wanted to stay connected while driving I order two different wifi's from Tep Wireless one for France and one for the rest of Europe. We arrived in France and the wifi did not work. Long storey short 25 minutes talking with support in airport parking no wifi. Tried a various other locations no wifi. Called company again to tell them I fully expect a refund for this wifi.
When I returned home I send two emails no response. I will say they have this handy chat button on their web site so you do get to talk to someone. First excuse" we need to send the unit to our IT department to find out what wrong then they need to talk to the QA department to find out why this ship this no function unit to me. My response was well you can see there was not data used so why not just refund my money? I was assured they would escalate my refund.
Waiting. waiting no response........
Back to the handy chat button on web site. I love this button! I believe I'm a nice little person and up to this point have been extremely polite. Even easting hours on my vacation talking to them, paying for long distance calls, expensive wifi fees at hotels. But this last chat put me over the wall. I have heard some great excuses in my time and some pretty funny ones but "I can not give you a definite answer until the refund department updates the refund schedule" What the heck is this?
I started to think I was getting scammed. So back on the computer I went searching "Tep Wireless Reviews". Wow! I can't believe how many people have and are right now having the same problem. This company has every excuse in the book to hold onto your money, waste your time, ruin your vacation, and have you create a blog.
I'm a firm believer that sometimes thing happen for a reason, maybe this is my calling to unite all the little people who believe they have one voice and combine them into a huge yell!
Bottom line beware of a company that has blogs telling you to use someone else. I will keep you posted as to the outcome and hopefully we will all be smiling!
