In May of 2006, I was pressured by a counselor at University of Phoenix to sign up. I explained to him my situation that if I didn't qualify and recieve financial aid for classes, there would be no way possible I could afford to pay out of pocket. He assured me that everything would be fine. So me being naive, thinking that he was there to help me, I signed up. He said he would sumbit my financial aid, and let me know. I started the classes, and never heard another thing about my financial aid.

It got to be 2 weeks before the semester was over, and I was getting quite curious to what was going on with my financial aid. So, I call my financial counselor, Ed Goodwin, and explained to him that I still havent heard about my aid. He says "let me check", and then he proceeds to tell me that it was NEVER SUBMITTED. He said he would send it out immediatly.

The last week of the semester rolls around, and I call him back. Once again, he says, "let me check" and then he tells me this time it was submitted, and then DENIED, because I was enrolled in enough classes, for a certain amount of credits. He then tells me that I will be billed, and I will have to pay for this out of my pocket.

I told him that in the beginning I explained my situation, and that I absolutly can not afford this. He tells me "sorry", not very sympathetic, and tells me there is nothing more he can do about.

A month later, I recieve a bill in the mail from them, for $1800. I started mailing them payments monthly, and then they stopped billing me. Four months later, in September, I get a copy of my credit report. Can you guess what happened next? Of course you can. It was on there. Screwing my score as hard as it could.

So stupid me, thinks the only thing I can do now is pay them dirty dogs to get this off my report. My god!, they are trying to rape me hard with no vaseline. So look at my old bills from them, and there is no phone number to reach them. A website to pay a bill was the only contact info of any kind. It was http://ecampus/phoenix.edu. I try and go to it, and the page cant be displayed. So then I google University of Phoenix Collections, and the first thing I see is UOPsucks.com.

As I look into class action suits against UOP, I find this website, and thought I would share my UOP rape story with everyone. Now, instead of paying them, I want to file a class action suit, or join one thats already been started. If anyone knows of one, please let me know. If anyone has any good advice, please tell me. Help.
