This company uses refund process to commit fraud.  I submitted an application for service in acquiring a passport.  Within moments I canceled that service when I learned that there were many fraud/scam complaints against USPassportnow. 

When I requested the cancellation and told them why, the lady was very rude and told me it would be 60 to 90 days.  Afer having her clarify the duration I was appalled.  I need to use that money to get a passport elsewhere.  They only had the application for a few minutes.  She was rude and completely unhelpful.

I submitted a complaint through their customer service department asking for assitance in canceling the charge to my card now since it just happened.

The customer service department called and was abrupt and rude from the start.  He spoke over me repeatedly in his attempt to validate their legitimacy citing all their certifications and number of stores.He said it as if by rote.   I wasnt interested in thier  validity...I just want my money back.....all of it.   He told me it would take up to 28 business days to get the refund and that according to the recording of my conversation, was what his staff told me. ????  "Can I hear this recording you ust listened to cuz I am pretty sure I am not crazy".  He said he didn't have access to it as it would take forever to go through the archives......He just said he listened to it before he called me??? This still doesn't get my money back so I can pay for a expedited passport elsewhere. 

As we "talked" about the refund, it became more familiar to me as I had just read multiple complaints about fraud against the company for exactly the same thing and about rude employees as well.  Am I in the twilite zone?

Considering the familiarity and experiencing the rudeness, I of course, told him no when he asked why I don't just let them get the passport instead of a refund.   They just proved one complaint was true.  I would be stupid to pay them more and ultimately get nothing back.....subsequently having to experience familiarity with other complaints against the company.

Things were heated on both sides so I asked to speak to the manager.  He claimed he was the manager.  I asked to clarify.  "You are the top manager, no one above you....anywhere"  He told me that was correct.  I clarified...."In the seven business locations....you are the boss?"  He said yes,  I asked "you are the owner of all seven".  He said yes.  I told him that there was no way he was owner based on the way he behaved.

I again asked for a prompt refund.  He told me that I would see it within 28 days and hung up on me.

I wonder how the owner of the company is going to react when he finds out that he doesn't own the company anymore?

Just so you readers know.  If you do not contest a charge withing 30 calendar days, you cannot contest it.   USpassportnow said within 28 business days (if you got it at all).  28 business days is more than 30 calendar.  Do you think USPassport knows that?   File your stop payments right away.  There is something very wrong with their business practices.

I 100% agree with all of your above claims. I am a victim of us passport now too. this company needs to be forced out of business. They DO provide a service but it is vastly overpriced and the customer service is extremely rude. I would understand if you called them and were yelling or being rude yourself...but I was being as polite as possible and she (andrea) was ready to argue and give a nasty attitude from the very beginning of the phone call.
