us passport now They make their site look as much like a government site as possible, and once you are "committed" they basically tell you you have to do all the stuff through the government sites and THEN you have to take more time to have them process what you could do faster yourself. Internet

 I have never had a passport before, mainly because travel to Mexico or Canada never required one, now that I near retirement I felt I should have one in case we want to visit Canada since I have relocated to Washington State. I went on line to research getting as passport and found the US Passport Now site first and it appeared to be what I needed to "guide" me through the process. it had questions about extra pages, passport cards etc. like I was applying for a US passport but it wasn't until after I agreed to the "expidited service" which I assumed to be the cheapest since I had not immediate travel plans but still thought I was paying the government fees involved. It was late in the day and when they sent me the "instructions" I realized I was going to have to take time to read and understand the process. it was late the next day after reading the somewhat confusing instructions compared to the easy instruction on their initial application i realized NONE of the government fees were covered and I was only paying for a expedited service that actually required me to do additional steps so they could process the paperwork I filled out and provided. Bottom line was I could process my passport application faster on my own than using their service. I tried to call them several times but due to work I had to hang up over and over because they have a long phone tree process and then a long wait to talk to someone. Bottom line is by the time I was actually able to get through to somoe one and could confirm their "service" was completely worthless to me they would state I had exceeded the 24 hour time frame to cancel and would be billed the full amount regardless of what I did. I knew I had been scammed and they were used to angry "customers" because they offered no help what so ever except to use their service anyway since I had paid for it. I was looking to save time, not add more steps like processing all the paperwork myself and then instead of just filing it with the appropriate government clerk (Accepting Agent) I would then need to add the additional steps of taking the paperwork that had to be in a sealed envelope from the Accteping Agent and take it to FedEx so they could sent it in for me. I am outraged at the dishonest, hide behind the deceptive contract wording, con-artist, business practice of this company. I have requested a full refund in writing through their customer service of which they stat i would get a response in 48 hours, even though I only had 24 hours and now two days later I have heard nothing.
