My husband and I are in a battle to keep our home right now. Anyone who has been harrassed, lied to,or been caused undue stress and hardship by Vanderbilt Mortage and Finance or Clayton Homes please contact me immediately...through the rebuttal key.
We believe (and in our hearts know) my parents had credit life insurance. The problem is both my parents passed away in 2003 and we can not find their contract. The copy we have is from Clayton Homes and it looks like it has been tampered with in several places. Today I found out that basically it is their word against mine and they don't have to produce the original copy if they don't have it.
We have been paying on this home since 1996 and may lose it if we don't come up with the one thousand dollor filing fee within a few days. We also need people who have been wronged by Vanderbilt or Clayton Homes to contact us immediately.
I see the pattern now after reading all the rip off reports. It is time for these companies to pay...not just to us but to everyone who has been done wrong.
Please contact me for all the details. And most importantly keep us in your prayers as we fight for justice. We will lose our home in ten days if we don't get the filing fee money.
I am willing to fight to get some laws changed but I need your all's stories of being done wrong too.
I recently found out that Vanderbilt Mortgage and Clayton Homes are owned by the same person.? No wonder the little guys lose. We don't have a chance to get laws changed that will protect us all unless we get together and stick together.
They may have money and power but I have God and he is bigger and better than they are. And God is on my side! Hallejuah!
I am looking forward to hearing from all of you that have been treated unfairly.

I pray that you will resolve this case and not lose your home. I have had trouble with Vanderbilt Mortgage myself, being slow in their insurance department and because they did not show I had insurance when I did, they acquired insurance on my home at twice what I pay for it. I did get results, I just have to stay on them, and you do that too, dont give up. Call them everyday if you have too. God Bless You

Hello
Yes I too have been harassed by this company and I am trying to find out what I can do to save our home. I am open to any suggestions that we can do as a group of people to stop these people from harassing us the way they do.

To Whom It May Be Concern,
I was researching the Vanderbilt Mortgage on the internet when I came across yours and many others who have the same complaints against the company above. I am perhaps not affected however, but my parents are in the same position you are in which they are having their home (mobile home) forclosed. They were not given any notification on the reason why their home was being repossessed, other than obtaining a business card from the company that was repossessing their home.
It is an unfortunate situation that my parents are being put in as well as you are in. The problem was everything the company is doing is very unethical in dealing with their business. It seems no one at the company is taking any responsiblity, they try to sneak in through the backdoor rather than providing any real evidence other than that you were behind on your payments.
Right now, we are trying everything to stop this but hopefully we and like many other would receive justice and maybe the company would be exposed and would be forced to close their doors forever. I wish you the best.
