Vanderbilt Mortgage And Finance be careful with bank numbers ripoff Marysville Tennessee

Last month I was a couple weeks late in getting my payment in because I get paid bi-monthly. I had been sending over the amount of the payment for several months, because I wanted to be a month ahead by Christmas time. Vanderbilt called me and said I must get the payment in. I owed them $84 and told them I was about to send them the ballance of the previous month, plus the month that was due. ( I had the money) and did not see any point in writting two checks.

They wanted the $84 now and wanted to do a "Telephone Check". I said no, just use my debit card. I gave them the number.

Last week I wrote them a check for the month due and put it in the mail. a couple days later. I went to the bank and checked my ballance. The ballance was only $100. There is no way Vanderbilt could have gotten my check and cleared my bank in only two days. I wonder if they used my debit card number, went into my account and took the money. I am going back to the bank and check on this this morning.

Previously, I had sent them a check. When they called me I told them I had already mailed the check. They wanted me to stop payment on the check and do a "Telephone Check" After I did the "Telephone Check" I went to the bank to stop payment on the check that was still in the mail. The bank charged me $30 to stop payment. That money was wasted.They could have waited a couple of days for their money. I will change my account numbers and from now on, send them money orders.
