I purchased a pomeranian puppy for my daughter in June of 2004. I paid with everything 2,500 dollars. Hector at Wizard of Claws stated that the puppy was expensive because he would be no more than 4lbs. full grown. The last time I weighed him he was 8lbs. and now he is over 10lbs. I want to start a class action law suit. I will do all the work and running around.

I just need everyones help in coming forward and showing that I'm not the only one. Please contact me as I am in the public relations field and I will make sure I contact several news, media , print, radio etc. to get these people exposed. I will sue them and will not let this rest.
Thank you,

Sarah

When will people learn?

I am sorry you are not happy about your puppies size. Really, no one can guarantee size, as the genes for bigger Poms can line up just right for a huge dog. I have a brother and sister from the same litter, the female is 7 pounds (when not being fed too many treats by my husband) her brother is pushing 20 pounds!

My main point here has to be why anyone would buy from a pet store, which gets their dogs from puppymills. Look up puppymills, you will be sickened. They always say "we get our puppies from local, reputable, breeders. Lies, lies, lies!

Reputable breeders don't sell to petstores!

And the price you paid!! WTH were you thinking?
Even if you went to a known breeder, a pet quality would probably be around $800. You would have been better off buying from a private party advertising in the newspaper, than a pet store.

I know you love your dog anyway, but consider it a lesson learned the hard way.
