MCI WorldCom Wireless vindictive charging, fradulent billing Garden City New York

After 5 months of dealing with this company fairly, I have had it. I was sold a "contract" with this company by a telemarketer who told me completely wrong information about what the account would offer. When I called the company, I talked with six different people over a two month period trying to return the phones (not to mention having to wait about 45 minutes on hold with inane music before anyone ever answered).

After they finally sent me the labels to return my phones and I was told numerous times that the account was clear, I started getting monthly bills, all for different amounts. They said I used too many minutes. I only had the phone one week and hardly used it at all because I didn't know how! Tonight I talked to 2 people at customer service for almost 1-1/2 hours. They were extremely rude and said they could do nothing about the bills. They were going to transfer me to accounting.

Where they transfered me was collections, where I talked to the only person who appears to be connected with reality. He was very helpful - his name is Daniel. However, what he told me blew me away. After 5 months of dealing with this company, he said that Customer Service had slapped a $250.00 pre-cancellation penalty on me TODAY. This was totally vindictive and obviously a result of them being mad at me (I have to admit that I ended up screaming at them because they were SUCH blockheads!). Oh, well. They will never get it.

I am sending this stuff to the Secretary of State and the Attorney General for Nevada. If enough of us do this, maybe it will do some good. Is there any way to warn people about this company? P.S. I now have Verizon Wireless, and they bend over backwards to make a customer feel valued.
