Acronis Charged for 1 year license for product but only good for 30 days. Internet

Over time I puchased 3 licenses for their backup/clone software.  I recently went on their site and purchased a 4th license for a new laptop computer.  Even though I was allowed to spend $51 for the product for a year license, the product I downloaded said too many activations and limited the active time to 30 days (same as free demo).  When I contacted them they said home users are only permitted to purchase 3 licenses (keys) and even though I was able to purchase a 4th, it would not be valid.  Was told to be able to use it I either had to deactivate one of the existing licenses I paid for that I use on one of our laptops and replace it with this key/license.  In other words, they allow you to buy more than 3 licenses (keys) but more than 3 cannot be used.  I would have to deactive the software on one of the laptops and reassign it to the new laptop.  No where on their site does it specify the 3 license/key limit.  When I explained that I wanted to use the software on all our laptops, I was told that I would have to purchase a 5 license pack.  That means I would have pay again for all four licenses I purchased again plus one extra license that I would not use.  

After several emails including with the manager of support, it became obvious they had no concern and would not allow the use of the fourth license.  Since they do not provide info about the 3 license/key limit and allow a person to buy 4 or more licenses of which only 3 will be valid, I view this as a fraud and a ripp off.  I have searched for another similar product and have found several of which I am considering purchasing to replace the Acronis software.  

This is a buyer beware.  Acronis will take your money but not allow you to use more than 3 of th licenses you purchase.  Having worked in the computer/IT industry for more than 40 years I plan on telling everybody I know, personal friends and family about this con and warn them not to do business with Acronis.
