I was interested in purchasing a 2019 Jeep Compass last Saturday at Bell Honda. I wanted to test drive it but there was no gas in it so the salesman (Brett Smith) said, "Well, let's just go around the corner so you see how it rides". It seemed to ride nicely but I was unable to get it up to a sped where it shifts to different gears. I wound up trading in in my 2010 Honda CRV.  My son asked the salesman Brett Smith how long I would have to bring it back if I wasn't satisfied with the purchase and Brett told us I have 7 days to return it. While I was there with the finance rep we attempted to process a $5000.00 deposit but my bank had a daily limit of $2000.00 so I told him I would call my bank to up the limit and I'd make the rest.  I left Bell Honda at approximately 5:30 pm and on my way home I noticed multiple things wrong with the Jeep. I immediately called Bell Honda and I told them I am coming back because there are multiple things wrong with it.

They told me not to come back because there was nobody there to look at it at that time. They wanted me to come back on Monday. I didn't feel comfortable waiting until Monday so I went back the next morning. I made sure I was there when they opened at 10:00am.. When I walked in I was told to speak to the General Manager named Walid Doumit.  I told him I do not want the Jeep because there are multiple serious things wrong with it and I want to cancel the deal and I want my CRV back. The salesman had told me and my son that I had 7 days to return it. The general manager told me there is no such thing that I have 7 days to return the car if I am not satisfied. I asked him why the salesman would tell us that if it weren't true. He had nothing to say and told me I could not cancel and get my CRV back. I only had the Jeep for 10 hours. And I would've been back Saturday night with it but they told me not to come back with it until Monday, At that point they took my CRV off the lot.

I became very upset, and I told Walid Doumit that what he is doing is unethical and extremely poor customer service. when the car is trying to shift at a higher speed it kind of screams as if it wants to but just can't seem to do it. Also, every time you take your foot off the gas, there is a clunking noise in the motor. The screen in the car doesn't work so the backup feature and the Bluetooth feature and the radio doesn't work and the seat was broken.

I was so upset he wouldn't give me my CRV back that I told them I was going to go to the news channel and BBB and post on social media what he has done to me. I mean he only had my CRV for 10 hours overnight. Walid then told me he would make everything right and he would have the Jeep looked at by Airpark Jeep and have it all repaired. It was at that point that he told me he wanted me to pay the remaining $3000.00 deposit. I told him I would pay it when he follows through with his promise to repair, I will pay it. He pressured me and told me he needs the payment, or he won't repair the jeep. So, under duress I paid the remaining $3000.00. He did get me a rental car while it is being looked at by the Jeep dealership. It's been there since June 25. 2025.

I called Airpark Jeep and was told by the sales manager Gary Wonner that the clunking noise I am hearing is the motor mounts. He states they need to be replaced but he told me Walid refuses to approve them to replace them. I called Walid and he tried telling me that Jeep said there is nothing wrong with the motor, but I advised him I spoke to Gary myself and was told the motor mounts need to be replaced because it is only going to get worse on the motor and the clunking noise will get worse and it will be dangerous to drive. So he lied!!! Again! I told Walid he needs to honor what he promised and repair everything. He is still refusing and told me I need to come pick up the Jeep because he will no longer pay for the rental car. 

My son recorded Walid promising up he will do right be me and we have a "We Owe" that Walid signed. Also, my son in law spoke to Walid and asked Walid "Don't you do a full inspection on traded in cars before you put them out on the lot to sell, like any reputable company?" Walid's response was "No we are not required." My son in law said, "Then you sold her a car that you intentionally knew was not functioning properly, you took advantage of her." Buying a car is supposed to be a happy experience but Bell Honda has made it a nightmare. They lie to their customers and do not do right by them! I WISH I would've gone online to read the reviews about them before I walked into that dealership! It is very clear that this type of service is very common by reading other experiences! I should not have to pay to make these repairs. Like I said, I was willing to bring the car back 15 minutes after driving off the lot and cancel the whole thing but they told me not to come back.
