Choice Hotels Quality Inn Made reservations online North Bethesda MD

August 9, 2025, I made reservations to stay at the Quality Inn. I was told about the pet deposit; however, we were not informed of any other deposit. Arrived at the hotel around 8:00pm MDT and waited in line behind two other people. Upon check-in, we were told that locals had to pay a $200 non-refundable cash deposit. We did not stay, but were assured our card would not be charged. August 11, hotel charged our card. Called to dispute the charges around 9:20am MDT. Spoke to Angela, the manager. She was rude, confrontational, etc. Admitted that the reservation notes said we tried to check in but did not stay due to undisclosed deposit. She gave me the number for the Tesla Corporation, claiming it was the corporate number. She also said she would make sure they did not refund my money. Corporate verified the notes that we were there. Later told me they would not refund the money. Called again, Angela changed the notes and said no-show. We have asked for transcripts of phone calls and video from the lobby. Company refuses to accommodate. Corporate does admit that this Quality Inn does not have the additional deposit listed anywhere.
