Citi Bank makes you wait until you get your credit card in the mail before you can cancel with them New York New York

I recently applied for a Citi diamond plus card from Citi Bank. They wouldn't give me a pre approval credit amount and made me apply first to see what my credit limit would be. After giving me a credit limit that would in know way work for me they said I couldnt cancel the card untill I received it in the "Mail". Meanwhile my credit will take a hit from the credit check. This is a very shady way to do business. I'll be canceling mine as soon as I get it in the mail and never doing business with them again.
