Back in June 16, 2016, i purchased a money order from Continental Express services for two different amounts, one of them for $950.00 these money orders where stolen. i followed the instructions to the "T" under their policy to cancel this transactions before they were cashed to get my refund. i followed up for about 10 conseutive days after i find out it didn't reach its destination ( paid xtra to get a copy of money order, got my claim notarized, followed up followed up and followed up)
This people have a P.O. box to where according to them, they checked on a regular basis for mail. I confirmed with the post office and was back and forth until i told them, go to your mail and pick up my claim so it can be stop! 10 days later and they didn't do it. the day they picked it up, my money order for $950 was cashed.
I was upset and i was screamed by their supervisor that they did not recieved the claim until then, and that they needed to wait for two months before they can even cancel it. She hanged up on me. after two months they told me to wait, i followed up and told me they sent me a letter, what letter? turned out that Martha rep, sent it to the wrog address because of a typo on her behalf.
its now dec,2014 ( this process started on June,2014) and i have not received my refund. I have contacted the mediator bank ( according to Continental Express )North America Banking company, money order processing dept, and they are saying they are not responsible, that they are just a mediator, they needed a letter from the person the money was going to.. bla bla bla.. so that was sent, i followed up with them and now they are saying they sent it to citi and they haven't responded. i ask for the tel. number of that dept. at citi and Lisa said they have no phone number to be reached! only fax. really!
this is very upseting becuase you would think this companies have an insurance for this type of cases.
i wonder how many people they have ripoff and due to barriers and this people just throwing the ball from one to another they just expect the consumer to get tired and forget about it!
now i'm stuck with $950 xtra that i have to pay and don't have, because I, single mom with two kids, like many other americans citizens live from pay check to pay check. =(
