 I had a Home Depot/Citi Bank Credit Card for 7 years and maintained perfect credit.  I made a purchase and unknowingly was just 1 day late returning item past my due date on my credit card.  I was signed up for paperless statements and all my contact information was correct and updated yet I was NEVER notified that my account was incurring late fees and intrest charges for 4 months amounting to 97.90.  It took my Capital One Credit Trackor to notify me that my Home Depot Credit Card was reporting as Deliquent dropping my Credit Score by 60 Points!!!  I immediatly phoned Home Depot Customer Service and Spoke with a Gentleman and He admitted to me that he had many complaits that other credit card holders had the same problems of not getting their statements and incurring massive late fees and intrest charges.  He gave me a small credit and gave me a number to phone the Head Credit Department to Have my Credit Report reversed and possible refund of charges.  I phoned them the next day and spoke with the Head of the Credit Account Dept. and told them I had not received any correspondance or billing or phone call and all my information was correct and up to date on their website and no excuse for no contact with me and allowing my account to go into delinquent status and incurring all those BOGUS charges.  She bragged about the very small credit the man had given me the previous night and I told her it wasn't charity or polite to brag about returning money when a THEIF steals money and returns a few dollars.  She stated that they had done nothing wrong and refused to correct my credit report or reverse the BOGUS charges.  I have 7 other credit cards and am signed up for paperless billing with all of them and have Never missed one stated from any of them and all my utilities are also paperless billing and never once a problem with them or my banking statements.  Just HOME DEPOT and their BOGUS BILLING PRACTICES.  They are THEIVES and LIARS and no better than the people who break into your home.  She gladly and happily closed my account upon my request and I told her I would Never set foot back into a Home Depot store ever again.  I have made major Appliance and Lawn Equipment Purchases from them and I pray I never have to use the warranty.  Again, Home Depot Never sent me one Email, Paper Statement, Phone call or made any contact with me of any kind over these continuing charges and reported my account as deliquent to the credit bureau and it took Capital One to let me know my Home Depot account was deliquent over Bogus Charges.  They are THEIVES and LIARS and the Credit Dept just added insult to injury.  I had perfect credit and now I have a negative report on my credit thanks to their SCAM.  I am not their only VICTIM and hopefully their will be a class action law suit one day for their illegal billing practices.  THEIVES and LIARS.  Don't buy from Home Depot they are corrupt in more ways than one.

Carol Tome  You should be fired You Could and should-have stopped the 2014 hacking Of 56 million customers. When I filed my lawsuit in 2007 in federal court in Green Bay Wisconsin Parent v Home Depot and Citibank. You knew from my case and depositions that your employees can go on the POS system and run off whatever credit cards they want,one right after the other doesn’t matter if it’s Visa, MasterCard, Home Depot card. In my lawsuit we found out that “ you Carol” new Home Depot keeps two files on your credit card. One with your full credit card information date,time etc. The other one shows The same. But like you’re supposed to it’s XXXXX4367 That’s the one they give you, they don’t tell you that they keep all your information Stored on the POS system.And your Home Depot employees can go in the POS system and run off credit cards even six months after these people put it on There credit card. Imagine how many times this must have happened throughout all the Home Depot stores in all the states. And I can go back as far as 2005. Now Carol I want to read what BusinessWeek reported that they give you a C level security and that Management states that it would be too expensive and would disrupt business. These former employees Disclosed That when they attempted to strengthen security, they were rebuffed by home depot executives,including information – security chief Jeff Mitchell. Also the New York Times states. The newspaper revealed that Home Depot’s employees knew the company was at risk, even before the breach,Some members of a security team left as managers dismiss their concerns. Others wondered how Home Depot met industry standards for protecting customers data. One went so far as to warn friends to use cash, rather than credit cards, at the company stores. Again Carol if you would have done the right thing in my case instead of me having to fight it in court, you could’ve stopped all this. But customers in the long run mean nothing to you or your corporate people. In life sometimes you need to think of your customers and not your greedy pocketbook.Carol you’ve gotten letters from me.As far back as 2007,I’ve told you how much is all costed me, and now I have no retirement, no savings, and now because of you Carol,I will have to work till I either die or I can’t work no more. I feel sorry for you.In the end the judge threw out my case because my lawyer Brian Pagle of Madison Wisconsin suit under the Wisconsin consumer act, and then let Citibank off and told us that we can sue Home Depot. Wrong wrong wrong. The judge after years throughout my case because Home Depot does not issue a credit card And is not a Debt collector.

To this day I can’t believe that Brian could’ve been that dumb I feel that someone got in the way of my case. Not only did we not get the cover letter sent from the Green Bay Home Depot store at 6:22 in the morning being faxed to Citibank with my hand written credit card number on top and lots of other peoples credit card information. Also my lawyer would not get copies of time cards on that day, again at 6:22 AM how many employees can really be there. I also deposition Home Depot employees, but I never found out about one employee name Susan until after my case was over. It was in my lawyers files and the letter shows that Susan was interacting with who’s credit card they transferred Over to my account. I showed The federal courts that information and they told me that’s what they were looking for, also in court the judge kept telling Brian to put up or shut up, and also that he didn’t understand federal law. Also In Rockland Texas in 2013 A employee Realized he could put a thumb drive to the side of the computer and he ran off 36,000 credit cards and sold 10,000 before he got caught. So after all of this I think Carol Tomé should be fired why should she make 5 million a year and I live week by week now until I die. I can’t tell you the stress, my health, my Family, and the Tens of thousands of dollars this all costed me, and the hell that you put me through. Thanks Tim Parent if you want to look up this case go to the United States District Court Eastern District of Wisconsin Tim Parent v Citi Bank and Home Depot case number 09 – C – 951 and look at what I sent That’s on file after my case was thrown out. And then you decide if my lawyer Brian was? I wouldn’t be surprised

We KNOW who OWNS YOU!!! You responded too quickly to my post.  Sitting at home getting an email from Ripoff.com to you in regards to HOME Depot and you responded.  You are a corporate shill for home depot and hiding and screaming "I don't work for them" and you are a coward.  Another reason NOT to go to Home Depot.  They are not only THEIVES, LIARS but add COWARDS to the LIST!!!

Read my Post!!!  NO EMAIL Statements were ever sent to me!!! Futhermore, no correspondance of any kind.  I did NOT have a balance of any kind.  My due date was on the 5th of each month and they moved it to the 4th.  This caused my account to go into a past due state when the item I returned on the 5th caused my account to incur late fees and I assumed at that time that my credit of the return had been credited in time and if it had not, they would notify me.  They did not!!! NO STATEMENT was EVER sent.  FOUR Months passed!!!  NO Balance was on my account so I didn't bother logging onto my account to see as I just thought if I owed anything they would notify me as all my other online statements did.  I guess I was an idiot for assuming they would hold up to contacting me as any other debt collector would.  Shame on me.

How Do You NOT KNOW About Your Own Account?

You have on line billing, no paper bills being sent.  That's nice.  Every month you receive a statement because its YOUR account and apparently you have a balance on that account.  Every month that statement tells you all about new charges, current amount due and what is past due.  So then, how do you NOT KNOW when the due date is, what they are charging you for and whether or not what they are charging you is even correct???  How?  You don't even bother reading the paperless statement, do you?  Its YOUR account and YOU are sent said statement via email.  Yet, YOU don't even know what's going on with YOUR ACCOUNT!

No rip off here!  Its YOUR ACCOUNT and YOU should be reading YOUR statements!  That's only a matter of COMMON SENSE!

Let me save you the trouble...don't bother writing back saying, "you must work for them", because I don't!
