I tried to port my number to Verizon to join my relatives in a better deal. Consumer Cellular had  said I could quit anytime but then said I had to have 180 days with them even though I bought my phone outright from them.  Never once did they say this to me when I bought my phone.  So I have to stay with them for 180 days instead of being able to quit at anytime.

I did not know that if I bought I phone from them I was locked into 180 days.  This was never explained and I bought the phone outright.  I have made my monthly payments and called them to see if I quit did I need to do it on a certain day and they said no that they would just pro-rate the bill.
