I've had Hughes Net for over five years. The service was acceptable except when it rained. Hey, it's a satellite service; when it pours it doesn't receive a signal. Dish will also go out until the clouds clear, so this isn't an issue.

I am preparing to move now. When I tried to call the customer service number it didn't recognize my phone number?? I went online. I had created an account way back, but the system did not recognize it. In all honesty, I had never logged in or called as everything had always worked. It had a customer chat page which would require me to set up Microsoft teams to use (no thanks), but I could get enough information into a chat header and got a representative to call me back. Prepare to be on the phone for a LONG time if you have to go this route as there will be many options to suspend or move your service, all for free, blah, blah, blah. I finally told the very pushy lady that I agreed to return Hughes Net equipment when I signed up and I just needed a return box. I told her if she would just send me the box I would return their equipment - they would be happy and I would be happy. I'm still waiting on the box.

I will pack the box and will take a photo of the packed box with the router turned to where the numbers all show. Hughes Net claims that a prepaid return address label is supposed to be provided, but people are saying they are being told to ship "as is". That doesn't work. Be prepared to pay for return shipping yourself if need be. Take a photo of the box with shipping label attached. Of course, keep your tracking number receipt in a safe place, because they may claim that they never received the equipment.

I am hoping for the best, but preparing for the worst. You should, too.
