Warning to ALL Consumers: Thumbtack, along with Home Advisor and several other "referral" services to Consumers are paid for by the actual 'Referee" [or Contractor, for instance].

There is NO legitimate due diligence on the part of Thumbtack, Home Advisor, Angie's List, or even the BBB. 

They ALL make their money the same way: By charging the company and then giving false and misleading "high and happy Reviews" online. 

It is a scam. 

Too many Connecticut Contractors that are known scam-artists are on these web sites with falsified positive reviews. Buyer Beware.
