In February of 2019, I went into surgery with Dr. Halpern for a "mommy makeover". From the day 2 post op check up I knew something was terribly wrong. Under my bellybutton down I had an extremely deep crease which did get lighter over time but ended up leaving me a "butt" in the front instead of a flat tummy that I paid nearly $10,000 for. 

Almost 6 months later, I had 2 consultations with new surgeons who both said "I've had to do revisions before but I've never had to completely re-do a tummy tuck. The entire thing needs to be re-done". Not even 6 full months later! It wasn't swelling, the doctor just didn't take nearly enough skin and the scar was about an inch higher than it should have been. I had to pay another $7,500 to have the work completely re-done. 

A few additional points: Dr Halpern told me over and over (with witnesses) that I will experience little to NO PAIN and showed me a video of an older lady with blonde hair and a red blanket who walked out of the operating room in no pain. I had extreme pain which no pain killers would touch. I was also told my surgery would be 4-5 hours and it ended up being over 8 hours with no explanation as to why.

I was told there was no complications. Why did it take so long? I could write a book on all the awful things I went through.I don't want anything from this doctor except to stop this madness. Another woman just reached out to me with proof that he was his surgeon and sent me photos of her job which is even worse than mine and told me how awful/painful her recovery was. Her surgery should have been two hours and was 4-5.

I have now had a FULL REDO tummy tuck from a new doctor and the recovery was 1/10 of the pain and only took 2 short hours. I finally have the results I paid for 6 months ago. I now know how a tummy tuck recovery is supposed to go and the experience was a million times better. This doctor needs to be stopped or at least learn how to do a proper tummy tuck.
