I have read the other reports on Puerto Bahia, and wanted to add my experience.
I went up to the property in 2011, when it was still undeveloped. The website was spectacular, and they did have the club house at the Marina Vallarta as the starting point. That gave it legitimacy.
I thought that the Marina Vallarta, a well-established place, was behind the property.
Then they took me up a hill to their sales office. There, they promised me a complete villa for 1 week a year, for 22,000 plus my timeshare, I believe. They actually gave me a contract saying they could rent it out for at least $800 every year, plus let me stay at the Preferred Registry Resorts for 2 weeks every year. This is RCI's most prestigious group of resorts.
They toasted me with champagne, took me to the real estate office, and processed my AM Ex card. When I got back to my hotel, I noticed the contract had been changed. I went back the next day and got it changed. But I still had doubts, and asked a lawyer what to do. He told me to cancel in person the next day, and that is what I did. I got them to sign the cancellation.
Two months later, no refund. Am Ex did not refund my money after I disputed it. Profeco scheduled meetings with them for 1 1/2 years, but they never showed up, and Profeco can not Enforce fines. Laywer told me I could go to court, but they still might not show up. We did go back there in 2012, but again was told that they could not refund my money. George Triggs is the fellow we dealt with.

I had wiped my hands of this, but now see that there are still unhappy people out there, and that they are still scamming. If you are interested in a CLASS ACTION suit, I would like to know. It is a beautiful area, and they have NO RIGHT to be doing this.

Puerto Bahia Scam

AUTHOR: RoseW - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 17, 2013

Just went to a presentation and got the same message. They were taking our 2 timeshares and would be paid in 90 days. We were very hesitant and said that if they could not give us this money off the contract now, we werent interested. That ended it. We were there for 5 hrs! I know many people have fallen for this scam. I know a company called Mexican Timeshare Solutions that can give you a free consultation on your issue, you should contact them! this is their website:
