Compac Moving And Storage Compac Moving and Storage is a fraudulent Company Passaic New Jersey

We used Compac Movers for our long distance move. We asked and were told that they do not sub contract their jobs. Well, they DIDthe move was a disaster. I am disabled as they knew and I was left without furniture for over 10 days. When our stuff finally did arrive after about 50 phone calls to the driver, much was broken and even some was missing. My bedroom could not even be reassembled. I had to pay a handyman to reassemble it and he could not believe that movers left this bedroom set as they did. Not to mention, the truck came at 8p.m. and left at about 2 a.m., not a very good thing to do in a new neighborhood, we were surprised that no one called the police.
Then to top it all off, when our belongings were weighed, they were weighed incorrectly and we were charged in excess of $2,000 to which we have weigh station proof. The owner Val, promised us a refund and kept telling us he mailed the check.instead, he hung up on John and told him to seek an attorney.
They act very nice to get your business, as the salesman Guy does,, then they want nothing to do with you once your furniture is out of their hands.
We definitely feel that Compac Moving is a horrible company and the weighing tactics was disgracful.  We have been left in terrible financial hardship due to what Val has done to us.

I'm in a similar situation and also still don't have my things. I've posted my own report and also contacted State Consumer Protection Board for assistance.

I just filed a complaint of my own, here and with the BBB. I had the exact same thing happen to me. I was quoted $1400, once they picked up my stuff they said it was going to be $3200. Better yet, they took 17 days to deliver my stuff after they told me 5-7 days max. 17 days!!! I could not reach them by phone, I had no idea what was going on. They would not deliver my stuff until I handed them $1000 cash, they threatened to drive away and sell it unless I gave them the money. I am just now getting my stuff and I want to be sure it is all here. This was the worst experience ever!! Please no one ever ever use this company. The people I delt with were the same, Guy and Val!!! Terrible Terrible Terrible!!!
