AAA Van Lines ripoff Norcross Georgia

"D" with AAA Vanlines delivered our items on January 10, 2006. He called us the night before the delivery and stated that he would arrive on 1/10/06 between 8 am - 10 am. He arrived at 1:00 p.m. stating that his truck broke down. He arrived with a woman who was unable to lift heavier objects and basically was useless. We paid him $1400.00 cash, and our bill was $1,165.62. He charged us $75.00 for each flight of stairs and more money because he said we went over our weight.

After we paid him, they were very slow moving our items, broke two legs off of one of our chests, then hired a stranger named "Pedro" off of the street to help him unload. We did not know this individual and he did not travel with the mover. "D" and woman did not assemble or unwrap any furniture, and in fact, told us to unwrap our furniture ourselves. He also refused to lift our couch into our condo and left it in our downstairs garage. We inquired with local movers on the same night, and they were able to remove the legs from our couch and move it into our apartment (which costs us another $150.00). Also, we are missing two chairs from our original order. The base of our leather office chair is here, but the chair is not. One of our sitting chairs has not been delivered.

This guy "D" with AAA Vanlines scammed us out of money, did not perform services as ordered, hired a complete stranger off of the streets of Chicago who could have caused us harm, damaged a piece of furniture, did not deliver all of our goods we paid for then left without finishing the job. He even left furniture wrapped with blankets.

This is an outrage. It cost us over $2,600.00 for this move and we still did not receive the services that we paid for. Our original quote was $1,914.00. Our balance was $785.00 on our bill upon delivery. We ended up paying $1,400.00 on delivery, which is over $700.00 more than the original quote. We ended up stiffed with AAA Vanlines.
