Aamco Transmissions ripoff, lying. customer fraud Toms River New Jersey

I called aamco transmissions in toms river nj. on a friday and explained to allie the manager the problem i was having with my ford explorer. I also explained to him I was tired of getting ripped off by repair shops and was looking for a reputible co. to deal with.

He assured me they were not like the others and that they do not replace transmissiopns they repair them and from what I told him it would only cost at the most $1000.00 to repair. a week went by and i hadn't heard from them so I called and he put me on hold, a few minutes went by and he came back to the phone and began to tell me they took out the trans. and there was a lot of damage on the inside, broken bands, bad torque converter etc. and the bottom line was $2600.00.

Needless to say i was livid. i told him to leave it as it was I was going to pick it up.He said oh no you can't take it out of the shop like that and he was going to speak to the owner Jeff and would call me back. I immediately went to the shop to see what he was talking about and when i arrived the truck was on the lift but the trans. had never been removed.........

I confronted the owner with some explicatives and asked why they lied and why they are ripping people off, his only comment was it's civil matter.i know i am not the only one this has happened to,people should be made aware of the fraud these people commiting. I am not through with these people.
