Aarons Sales & Lease FREE BED BUGS WITH MATTRESS/BEDROOM SET PURCHASE!!! WEST WARWICK, Rhode Island

I have been a loyal Aarons Sales & Lease customer for about 2 years and I have referred many of my friends and family , who are now customers.  In the last 2 years I have paid off at least 4 accounts in full.  I have always been on time with my payments.

I recently leased a bedroom set from store in May of this year. I was told that the mattress was not brand-new but pre-leased, that it had been gently used and sprayed for anything that might be on it.  I was assured I would have no problem.

Since, I brought this into my home me & my boyfriend have had bug bites on our legs and feet and my tattoos that I have had for at least 2 years have been swollen, red & peeling. 

We thought our problems was fleas, I purchased countless sprays, powders & other products for flea control, all attempts being unsuccessful.  I gave my childrens cat away, thinking that might have been the problem, again unsuccessful.  By this time it was now summer time and the bites & continued itchiness & redness was attributed to being outside and possible mosquito bites.

On September 17 we found out what this problem was, the mattress that I got from your store had bed bugs.  I got up out of bed that night went in my bathroom & discovered one on my shirt.  At first I thought it was a tick, it was so big.  I then turned the light on in my room and discovered there were about 500 of them on my mattress, in my sheets and my blankets.  We immediately removed the bed, my rug, bedding & curtains from the house.

We went into the store the next day and spoke to the manager and informed him of the problem.  We were then told by another store employee that there was another incident from the store just 2 weeks ago where they had to got into a customers house and spray there because of bed bugs from a mattress purchase from there.  I was informed that they could not remove the bed from my house until the next day.  Later that day, I went home and found that the bed bugs were also on the box spring and bed frame too.  I called the store and informed the manager that the merchandise would be outside and that he needed to send someone there that day to take care of this issue. 

The manager along with another store employee arrived at my house, sprayed the mattress and box spring in my front lawn and shrink-wrapped it before the placed it in the truck.  The manager came into my house and sprayed my whole room and my childrens rooms to insure anything that was in my house was removed.

When the manager inspected the box spring and mattress he even agreed that the bugs had been there a long time based on the size, amount of them and discoloration that was even into the corners of the box spring.   My research on bed bugs has revealed that you can have these creatures for 4-6 months and not even know it.  They can also live dormaint for 1 year up to 18 months. 

The district manager informed me that this is not a problem in this store and that he is not aware of any infestitation in this store of bed bugs.  I was also informed by him that there was not an incident 2 weeks ago, that I had just been told the day before by an Aarons employee that there was.

I am now left with no bedroom set that I have been making payments on since May.  I have no pillows, bedding, comforter set, rug or drapes for my bedroom.  I had to dispose of a sheet set and a pillowcase set.  I have been embarrassed in front of my neighbors and now the whole neighborhood knows that we had bed bugs because of your merchandise.  I have 4 tattoos that are ruined on my legs and feet that I dont know if they will ever look right again.  I cannot sleep at night and when I do get to sleep I wake up several times thinking that bugs are crawling on me.  I am constantly checking my childrens bed and every time I see a black speck I think it is a bug.

I will constantly live with the fear every night that I will awake to have bugs crawling all over me again and that these creatures are still in my home living and feeding off my familys bodies.
