I contacted this company for prenatal dna testing in Feb.2013. Harvey Tenenbaum advised me this testing is very accurate & reliable. And they will also do a post birth dna test to verify the prenatal finding.
After the prenatal test came back that i was the father. I accepted that as fact & started making plans to be a new father. The possible other father & i looked nothing alike and SHOULD have had dna not at all alike.
After the birth in July 2013. And seeing that he looked nothing like me. I had Viaguard do a post birth dna test. After 2 LONG weeks. It came back i was 99.9997% that i am the father.
As he aged, it has become apperant that he is not my son. I contacted DDC. another, highly proffesional company for a (piece of mind) dna test. It came back not only am i not the father. There is 0% chance i am the father.
I'm not sure if i have any legal grounds to sue since they are based in Canada. And, i live in the USA. Viaguard is a deceptive company that is responsible for thousands of children not knowing they're true father. And as many men raising children who are not their's, biologically.
I doubt that i will ever be reimbersed for my finacial & mental loss. But, i wanted to take the time to repost this sad incident to the faithful readers of Ripoff Report. I had checked here, before agreeing to use Viaguard in FeB. 2013 but nothing was here.

Dear Victoria
So sorry you are dealing with this. My experiance was terrible with this company. BUT, it seemed very reputable. Everything i stated happened. The two possible fathers were nothing alike. And the baby did turn out to a be the other guys.
THIS.. After TWO positive test from accmetrics. That it was my son. I strongley recommend you use the other company I used. After the baby was born. If I didn't list it. Or i can help, in any way. Don't hesitate to respond again.
I know how worrisome this is. I truley wish you the best of luck.
Regards, Lon USA

Our experience was different from yours. We had our results validated and did not feel that we were scammed in anyway. Perhaps your experience is an isolated incident but the words scam is quite harsh.

I am so sorry to hear of your experience with this fraud company. They obviously don't care who they hurt. As long as they are making money. I was there for the whole pregnacy, birth & bonding period also. Nobody knows the emotions we have gone through. I can tell you. From my last year, i have learned FORGIVENESS is the best emotion. That beautiful child is the most important thing in all this. & I'm sure the mother has suffered greatly. Good luck. & try to stay positive. & involved. If possible.
regards, Lon

Worst experience ever! Scammers!

We used Accu-metrics Viaguard for a prenatal dna test in March of 2014. Got the packet did the 2 potential father swabs, one of which was my son, they each had a paper to fill out their info. Got the mothers blood drawn, she had a page to fill out with all her info. Then there was a page to fill out for payment info. I filled this out with my name and credit card info.
The results took twice as long as they said it would. They called with the results saying my son was 97.8% match and the other guy was 0%. They said they would be emailing the results as well. The email arrives and both sheets have my name down as mother of fetus. Nowhere is the actual mothers name listed. I called and they said they would get it corrected and mail the new reports by the end of the day. This went on for over a week, every day I would call and email but never received the reports. They started getting very rude and hateful with me. Very unprofessional! We eventually just went on in full time get ready for this baby mode.
After she was born my son had gotten an attorney to get visitation rights established, just to get it official. The mother was very generous with visitation We had the baby while she was working so the baby was at our house about 50% of the time. Since the court does not recognize prenatal tests another DNA test was ordered. By this time the baby was 3 months old. The results came in a week after my son had left for basic training. They came back 0% chance that he was the father.
Our entire family is absolutely devastated! I can't even begin to explain how completely devastating this has been for us. My son didn't get a phone call home until 2 weeks later. I had to tell him in a 5 minute phone call. Worst day of my life! Nothing brings pain like not being able to be there for your child when they need you most. We all love this little girl so much. Our entire house has been transformed for this baby.
So no I would not waste your money with this company at all! You might as well just keep your money and flip a coin. Apparently that's how they do it anyway.

Positive review on my end and not the company

I did a test recently and had a positive experience. Sure there will be negative reviews for everything... also be aware of SEO companies being hired to spam companies on ripoff report then calling them a few months later to help them remove it. Clearly lonnieB is one of those guys since hes known to post reviews on other companies... good luck with your SEO marketing.

thanks for realizing & reporting the obvious attacks on the same day. I love RIPOFF REPORT. I did have the terrible experience that i reported.
i wanted to alert as many people as i could. that is all.
anyone that had a positive experience is just lucky. they treated me badly & have unexcusable testing. I found this out from a independant Professional.
I wish there had been a report here. before I decided to use viaguard.

Multiple positive rebuttals on the same day.

Came upon this site while looking for a place that does avian testing in the GTA. I had to respond so others can see the same issue. Do not believe the "positive' reviews all posted on the same day (April 11) directly insulting the original poster. Clearly this is a case of the company itself trying to repair a damaged reputation. I will be taking my business elsewhere because of these obvious fake positive reviews.

Testing was accurate for me

I have had a test done with Viaguard and the results were accurate. Not sure if this is an appropriate ripoff report since your scenario is very unusual. This is a scientific medical test so I would not make any of these comments in the first place.

I also had a test done

Hi I also experienced testing from this lab and my experience was completely opposite. The service was good and the results were accurate.
My results were reported and 5 months later we confirmed it with the courts and it was completely accurate. Not sure if a ripoff report is required for this company since so many have had positive feedback from this company.

I had a test done with Viaguard with possible fathers and there was no issue whatever. The courts had me do a legal test and it was completely accurate. Your story makes no sense and sounds like a direct attack ... are you sure you even did any testing.

I have done a prenatal test as well

I got a prenatal test from Viaguard and I just want to express my opinion on the experience that I went through. First of all I ordered the test and the package for my blood sample came within two days and we got great service in terms of booking the appointment for the blood draw.
Once I sent in my samples I received my results in 7 days without any trouble whatsoever. I had nothing but positive feedback and comments for Viaguard and this review is a blatent lie. I believe that individuals who don't want to be the father write poor reviews (about paternity testing in general) so they can blame someone for the outcome. A scientific test is a scientific test so please keep your opinions to yourself.

We too used Accu-Metrics....terrible company. The results we received from the company came with another couples name on it! Not once, but twice! Accu-Metrics is no help at all. Their employees have no concern. All they want is your money! It took entirely too long to get the results in the first place! Just disappointed with them!
