I bought a Groupon for this company for a gift for my wife. In order to use the Groupon they require you sign up for their VIP membership which charges 39.95 each month to your credit card. After realizing this, I contacted the company and they would only refund one month's worth of charges. This resulted in a credit balance remaining on my account. At this point in time I cancelled my subscription and moved on.

Fast forward 6 months later, around Christmas time, I decided to use the remaining credit balance in my AdoreMe account for a few extra Christmas gifts. Little did I know, that checking out and using my remaining balance supposedly re-signed me up for this VIP program. While I specifically recall the checkout process at this point in time, I do not in any way remember seeing any options, selections, or settings that said I was re-signing up for this program.

In fact I was looking for this, knowing that the Groupon experience already tricked me. I found this out 3 months later when I was auditing my credit card statements and was surprised to see more 39.95 monthly charges to this company. Once again, I called the company, spoke with Regina, who refused to work with me. She would only repeat "policy" over and over again. She also refused to allow me to speak with her manager Brittany to further escalate this matter.

My next step was to dispute this with the credit card company and come to find out they have a "contract" with American Express saying they can only dispute 60 days in the past as opposed to Amex's normal 90 days.

STAY AWAY from this company. They appear to have nice products at reasonable prices, but what they do not tell you is it is all a scam to get you sucked in to a subscription program with an extremely short refund period. While at the same time having unreasonable policies and inconsiderate customer service.

Unfortunately I got burned by this twice, so I am writing this to hopefully save someone else from falling into their trap.
