I had joined the fitness connection ( free employee discount that was given by the co. to the employees) at east freeway, houston ,tx on 11/08/2015 on month to month plan and to check out the services i had arranged for a trainer for 1 month.while applying at that center i had paid $210 as advance for that month through my master card.
As planned by the employee for my First day at the center,I was told by the employee that the trainer whos was supposed to train me had some family problems and took a leave off and there was no other trainer free to train that day.So i left the fitness center doing some workouts. That was the first and the last day at the center. The reason behind that was when i trying to get that trainer after several calls the employee couldn't make the arrangements for it during the morning sessions.
So i told the employee not to start my plans as he is not available.he said ok.I waited back to get a call from the fitness connection center to make further appointement dates, days went by he never called me back instead of many calls to that same employee.
I thought my accounts not activated /started till yet.So as it was near to my second month I tried to cancel my account. But they didnt cancel. To my surprise after months i found that i received a bill that i have to pay late fees and monthly fees for 3 months around $600,which i didnt sign for and it was sent for collections .Recently i received a bill from the debt collection people...Affiliated Acceptance Corporation stating i have to pay $2,410.00.
These people just are ripping off people for just using the services for one day.I even called the employee asking about the same and after some continous calls he assured to take care of it,but nothing happened.Later called the Manager of the fitness connection at east freeway center to handle the situation. He said "I have been receiving complaints about that employee and I am sorry for that"but you have to pay it anyways..
So i called the Affilated Acceptance Corporation about the situation and the amount being charged..They said we will interogate/make a inspection about the matter and will call me back about it.but i didnt receive a call back reply. But they are still sending bills with more charges and had reported the credit agency about it.So i asked the credit agency(credit karma) to investigate about it and as of know i see that the acounts closed in credit karma.I dont what the real credit agency reports say..
I am not going to give my hard earned money like that and I got laid off recently.Hope everyone understands my situation and i need help about it.
I had given my Master credit card for payment, but as i used to keep a check on my accounts I realised that they are going to charge again and again on a monthly basis.i told my credit card people that i had lost my card and i got a new replaced card.theres no charges as of know but I am receiving accelerated bills from the Affiliated Acceptance corporation (debt collection agency).I dont know what to do next.Plz help.
I already paid $210 to fitness connection when joining but never received services for that. Now AAC is asking to pay $2,410.00.Plz help.
Thanks
