After purchasing a money order at the Customer Service booth, I overheard the store manager repremanding an employee in a public area of the store, by the booth. The employee was being repremanded for poor customer service in the meat department, which was at the other end of the store. (Why not repremand back in the meat department in private?) The employee stood there and listened. So did everyone else who passed by.

Apparently management doesn't have a clue that employees have rights through Human Resource laws, and that a long repremand in public (instead of private) is a violation and is abusive.

I confronted the store manager as I walked by and told him that it was totally inappropriate to handle employee matters in the open area and this should be done in private. He just looked at me dumbfounded.

No wonder people won't shop in Albertsons. Their poor employees!!!!
