My sister ordered her bridesmaids dress from Alfred Angelo- all the bridesmaids did. I also got my bridal dress from there. Great experience until my sister's dress came in. The store ordered the dress four sizes too small! And the wedding is in one month.

I was told my sister had to be seen in the dress before they could help us do anything. She lives 1.5 hours away and has two small children. She had also already arranged for alterations in her hometown of Baltimore. She found a sitter and made the drive to Lancaster.

In the store, the assistant manager Lindsay, confirmed the wrong dress size had indeed been ordered. She told my sister to return the next evening (another 3 hour round trip) so that a seamstress could fit her for alterations. Also, that pending management approval the alterations would be complimentary. They just happened to have the correct dress in the correct color and size in their store (which of course had stains on it). I agreed to use that dress seeing as the wedding is next month and the alterations would be free.

My sister returned the next evening, waited over an hour for the seamstress and was fitted. Upon coming to the cash register she was told she owed them $120. She said she understood the alterations would be free. The manager told her that had the correct size come in, the alterations would have been necessary. Feeling that she had no option, my sister paid and left.

I left a message on their machine that evening stating that I expected the alterations to be free or for us to pick up the unaltered dress so that her tailor could make the alterations as already planned in Baltimore.

I received no return call. The next afternoon I called and was told the alterations were magically already finished and that nothing could be done. My mother called and asked again. Again was told the alterations were finished. So we requested to pick up the dress that evening. We finallly found out that we had been lied to and that the alterations had not been made.

This store is a rip off- they are only concerned about their money. Buyers beware!
