Would also give ZERO stars if I could!!   My experience with All State Van Lines has been and CONTINUES to be an ABSOLUTE DISASTER!!!  Before anyone at All State Van Lines comments on my posting I would choose your words wisely on a rebuttal.  I scheduled an out of state move from WA to PA for 9/24 with a back- up date of 9/25.  I received a call from Jennifer M (All State Rep) 9/20 if we could reschedule my move for 9/30 which I could not agree too because I was driving cross-country for a job relocation.  Needless to say, they did not arrive on either date because of some crazy pick-up prior to mine...as if I cared.  I had to sign a release for my neighbor to be present for the pick-up of 9/26 which is my first second regret (first is using All State).  The regret is not with my neighbor, but not realizing the incompetence of the moving company (Nationwide Carriage Lines) that All State Van Lines sub-contracted for my move.  I lived in a gated community and was the first townhome in the complex closest to the gate which was explained during my several conversations prior to making my deposit.  Well, the so-called movers first said that they were told by the police that they could not park there because they would be blocking traffic with the ramp.  Well, of course you would block traffic when the ramp would be in the middle of the road - TURN THE TRUCK AROUND...and the ramp would then be on the sidewalk!  After that, they did a walk-thru and said that my stuff will not fit on the truck and I would be responsible for another truck to load and unload, and would run me additional $500 - $1000 on top of my original quote.  I called Jennifer (All State Rep) and asked how was this my problem.  This was a dispatch error and that they over-booked this truck.  After going round and round it was finally agreed upon that I would not be responsible for the additional truck.  BUT, it doesn't stop there.  Then, I receive a phone call that they cannot fit my couch down the steps and that they were just going to "leave it there"!  I called and spoke to Jennifer, Dennis (dispatcher for Nationwide) and was told that they have "pictures" that it would not fit.  The previous movers had no problem what-so-ever getting it up the steps, so if there is a way up...there is a way down!  NOPE..not according to the "Serge the mover" who has been doing this for over 30 yrs and would not take suggestions from my neighbors nor accept any help from them in getting it down.  I was promised by the dispatcher that I would get a call in the am to see if we got it down the steps and they would come pick it up.  Well, we got it down the steps with ease and video- taped it! BUT, that didn't matter because I never received a call nor did they have any intention of ever coming back to get it.  I agreed to sell the couch to my neighbors, but the morons put all of the cushions on the truck so there went that idea. I had to pay 125.00 to dispose of perfectly good couch that belong to a 2500.00 set. But, they do not feel responsible to replace the set or the couch.   My scheduled delivery date was between 10/1 and 10/13 being the last day of the contracted arrival date.  Well, I got the run-around for about 2 weeks that something was wrong with their trucks and blah, blah, blah. I repeatedly asked for the weight tickets which they still cannot produce or provide me!   I was told that my things would be delivered no later than 10/28....well that didn't happen either!  I had to call Jennifer and ask what was going on...she finally said that I will not be delivered today, tomorrow or at all this week!  My things are in a storage facility waiting for a truck to make a route to PA!  First, at no way shape or form did I give you or anyone at ALL STATE OR NATIONWIDE permission to do such a thing!  Now, I am being told that my delivery date is now 11/9.  This company has had my things for over a month and counting.....

I called Jennifer and she really had the nerve to say "what do you want me to do at this point, I do not have a truck to make your route"  ARE YOU KIDDING ME...Find another company to save face at this point!!  This company has caused such chaos in my life that I will be sure to  give such scathing reviews wherever and however possible including, but not limited to local and national news of what a SCAM OPERATION THEY ARE RUNNING!!! At what point does this become a degree of theft?????

IT'S NOT OVER YET...

AUTHOR: Christina W - ()

POSTED: Friday, November 01, 2013

I wish I could say that it was over and your apologies have eased the situation, however none of your representatives have kept me informed From start to finish..... And it's not even finished yet.  I am still waiting for delivery of my shipment which is now 20 days past the last date of the contracted delivery date.   Your company....actually the company you subcontracted..has had my shipment for 36 days!!!!!  This is in NO WAY ACCEPTABLE!!!!!  After calling today to find out status, I was told that it was in a storage locker in FLORIDA!!!  The shipment was to go from Washington to Pennsylvania, no where near Florida!!!!  After calling again later today to find out the exact location of my shipment, in what storage facility in Florida, what the weight tickets were (which I asked about on 9/26 when my shipment was picked up and STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED), who was paying for the storage, and when did it arrive there - I was advised by my representative, Jennifer, that they would not release that information as "people" have broken into units and that it was information that could not be released to me.  After she said that, I replied that I do  not have access or a key to my belongings and at this point your company has stolen my things.  I received a call back at 5:00PM where I was advised by Jennifer that my belongings are now in a truck headed north but she could not give me a location of where and said that my delivery is currently scheduled for 11/9 and that's all that she could tell me.

This issue was escalated to management on 9/27 but even then the mangager  was combative and non sympathetic to my suffering.  This issue should have stayed with management when the movers first had "issues" with moving the couch down the stairs (of which my neighbors had no problem getting it down with out the pulleys that the head mover said that he would need To get the couch down the stairs).  My delivery date has moved 4 times and the 11/9 delivery date marks the 5th adjustment of delivery- NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!  Now I'm being told that they're working on compensation for my troubles but at no point will payment be made until my shipment is re-weighed, delivered, and verified that all goods are in the same condition that they went on the truck-- But even then no monies will be paid upon delivery!  This compensation better include my original deposit, the cost incurred to purchase clothes as you have had mine for almost 2 months, as well as replacing my entire living room set considering the missing couch was part of a very expensive set that no longer matches, not to mention the deduction of $30 per day that is on my contract.  By my count this comes to $1350 which is pretty much the balance due. The way I see it, you owe me money... And I have no problem seeking THAT compensation along with what I mentioned above, and mental anguish in criminal court!  I do not see how any of this was done in my best interest!!!!
