Allegro Medical in Mesa Arizona. I am a practicing dentist in southern California. I orderred a message chair cushion through Allegro Mwedical for one of my patient dental chairs in my office. As soon as I opened the box that contained the item, I could tell the item would not work as it did not look like the item on their web site and the item would not fit on my dental chair. I immediately packaged the item in the same plastic bag and box it was shipped in, and sent it back to the company two weeks later after they finally gave me a return authorization number. Four weeks later I called the company as I had not seen a credit on my credit card statement. The company assured me that the matter was on review, that they had the item and that the matter was being expedited. After another call to the company several weeks later, the customer service person was saying the exact thing the previous employee said weeks before. I even told the employee that I suspected the company was a shady operation and that I felt like I needed to call my credit card company. The employee agreed that the company was and is a shady company and that I should call my credit card company.

My credit card company reversed the charge on my statement. However, there is a 45 day period that the merchant can contest the claim. The merchant did contest the claim and said the item was returned damaged, that it had, "dirt and paint on it" and that it could not be resold.

This is absolutley un-true, as I packaged it immediately the same way as it was shipped. My credit card company has contacted me and now says there is nothing they can do and the charge will again appear on my statement. I do not have the product, nor the product with the dirt and the paint on it. I have nothing but a $237.54 charge on my credit card. This is robbery.

After this mornings phone call with my credit card company I did a google search for "Allegro Medical Billing Complaints" Upon review of a web site named epinions.com, and other sites, it is very clear that I was correct in my assumption of being given the run around by this company and that I have been a victim of theft.

I will be contacting the Federal trade commission regarding this matter as it is obvious that no authority has done anything to deal with this merchant and their fradulent business practices.

My word vs their word

AUTHOR: Dr. G - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 23, 2009

In response to Allegro Medical, it is now December 23. I have not received the massage chair cushion from UPS or other delivery service as claimed by the company. I have no massage chair with paint or dirt on it either. Allegro Medical-Please scan the proof of the delivery information with my name deleted, but to the address for which it was sent and include all tracking numbers.

Interesting that your company surveys these complaint web sites and places responses aswell as what looks like makes favorable reviews. There are no reviews that are middle of the road, they are either extremely bad reviews accompanied by horrible customer experiences or raving, rosie reviews about how wonderful the company is. This doesn't equate.

Back while speaking with customer service at the company, I could hear other customer service employees having similar conversations with other disgruntled customers.

Maybe if I ever receive this massage seat cushion back from the company I can sell it on Ebay as art work considering it probably will have their company employee's finger painting on it. Curious to see if it has rope marks on it from dragging it throught the dirt while hooked to the trailer hitch of the company owner's Hummer. Then again, at this point if I do receive anything from the company, I bet it will not be the same item or the same model item I originally purchased.

I love the story about a pair of crutches which were sent back to the company, which they claimed they never received, (never giving credit to the customer) only to have those exact crutches(confirmed by UPS) arrive at a different customer's address and that customer had orderred them. In this Holiday Season, lets hope that the last customer to receive the crutches had the name, "Tiny Tim."

Lastly, how does a company hire employees for this type of work, what does the want add say. Looking for the most......?

Return was not Resalable

AUTHOR: Andrea Giese - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 22, 2009

We did in fact receive this return through our distribution facility, upon receipt of merchandise and further inspection it was deemed not returnable as the merchandise appeared to have been used with dirt and paint all over said product. Per our terms and conditions (see link http://www.allegromedical.com/support/disclaimer.do) all products authorized for return must be in 100% resalable condition. Since the product was deemed non returnable we authorized our warehouse facility to return said merchandise back to this customer which was done in November (currently shows delivery through UPS back to this customer in the beginning of November.)

After this we did in fact receive a dispute through this customers financial institution and disputed the chargeback citing that the product was returned to customer and it was returned to Allegro in non-resalable condition. Upon receipt of this information the financial institution overturned this chargeback.

We are sorry that we were not able to accept this item back for refund however due to the nature of the product and the way in which it was received we could not accept the return for refund.
