This company called me repeatedly at work when I was extremely busy & proceeded to fast talk me into buying their magazine subscriptions. At the time I had no idea what I was getting into. The price of their magazines is far higher than buying them directly from the magazine co. itself. Anyway I owe over $450.00 dollars. I called them & told them I changed my mind, but they said it was too late & that I would have to pay. Beware of this scam. If there is any way to get out of this please let me know what it is & I will do it.

Dear I haven't figured it out,
You need to get your copies of everything they have
sent you, and everything you have sent them(copies). Send it to the Buffalo, New York Better Business Bureau , and to the New York State Consumer Protection
Board (agency). Follow through and turn them in. They are in the process of
trying to rip off my friend in Montana, doing the same thing, calling him and harrassing him at work. His bill they sent him was $750.00. We are in the process now of contacting both Montana Consumer Protection Agency and New York States, and the Better Business Bureau. These agencies do not mess around they take care of business right away. Take the time to do it. Or if you can get an
attorney to do it. send the letters certified always get a return letter reciept.
They even told him he would get a couple magazines free. Yeah they were around
$249.00 a year. They need shut down. Good luck.

I haven't figured it out

I worked for Allied Publishers for a short period of time years ago. Good luck with them... There is no way I know of out of the contract after a "three day right of recission" which must be sent via certified mail and received by them within 72 hours.

The good news is that before I worked for them, I was scammed by them as well. I didn't pay and they never did anything about it, including any credit reporting.

When I worked for them, they also didn't do any credit reporting either. My advise, don't listen to them or their threats. They are a small office around the corner from my home. They make TONS & TONS of money, usually preying on the military, by sending hired models on base to push subscriptions of penthouse & playboy to the 18 year olds & since they are required to pay by the UCMJ, they will forget about you & go after them.
