My mother purchased an expensive diamond necklace from Allurez for my birthday. They sent us the wrong product twice. When they finally sent the right product (two months later), it was of such sub-standard construction that we decided to give up on Allurez and request a full refund. But when we requested a return authorization number, we received a curt response from “Jenn” stating that the period to return the necklace had expired 30 days they had sent us the original incorrect product!!!
That’s right, they took the position that our 30 days to return the product expired seven (7) weeks before we actually received the product!!! I have made numerous attempts to get this problem resolved with the company to no avail. I have tried to reach “Jenn's” manager (“Grace”) five (5) times but every call went straight to voicemail.
After receiving no response to my voicemail messages and email, I attempted to reach Allurez’ “customer service” department directly through their website. I received a snotty response from “Jess” stating (incorrectly) “this necklace was an exchange for the original necklace that was purchased. We do have on record that a manager has tried to call you numerous times. Please feel free to return her phone calls.”
So far, “Grace” and “Jess” have ignored my repeated requests for the names and contact info for the VPs of Sales and Customer Service. I would think Allurez would be embarrassed after making two mistakes causing a two-month delay and then finally delivering a product of sub-standard quality. But instead backing up their 30-day return policy, they are taking an unconscionable and absurd position, leaving me no choice but to go the time and expense of pursuing them in court.
