Amazon Prime charges you 79,00 a year for free 2 days or discounted overnight, I been a prime customer for 3 years, had multiple orders being delivered late, what’s defeats the whole idea of prime, every single time I contacted costumer service, I got an apology and a promise that it wouldn’t happen again, till the next order. They never did anything to resolve my problem, they only care about you paying the membership, after that they don’t care about you.

To everyone considering it, beware, they r nice until you pay your membership, after that it’s just, we apologize, but we don’t care if you order is late.

Amazon are full of a bunch of crooks and liars. They not only false advertise but commit fraud. I signed up for membership not even 1-2 weeks ago. This has happened to ALL of my FOUR orders. This promised 'Guaranteed Two Day Delivery' is a fraud. They do nothing but ship UPS GROUND. Of course it's not going to be delivered in two days. Funny thing with mine is, The first two days they had FAKE tracking making me believe the item was on it's way then in my hometown about to be delivered. When called and questioned they NEVER answered to why there is fake tracking. They just apologize over and over and say to wait a few days for delivery and it will SHIP SOON. Well Amazon that defeats the whole ' Guaranteed Two Day Shipping'. My order was ordered on the 12th, Delivered on the 20th. Which also defeats the whole membership purpose. Beware of joining their membership. They do not honor shipping times whatsoever.

I ask for 2nd day they give me UPS Ground

Just recently I ordered an SSD from Amazon using my Prime account and I paid for the $3.99 for overnight delivery and it had a guruanteed delivery date of January 7, 2014. On January 8th I checked on my account only to discover they shipped it UPS Ground and didn't refund me my $3.99. I paid for overnight and they shipped UPS Ground. This is fraud not just false advertising. I called and they gave me the same exact run around, that they apologize and it will never happen again. And this is not all. It gets worse. When I checked it on January 10, 2014, UPS had shipped my product across the country to Hodgkins, Illinois. So not only does Amazon steal my money but they lie to me and offer no possible way to cure the situation. If you read between the lines, what they are really saying is oops, we effed up, we don't give a crap about you and we are not going to help you rectify the situation.  I demanded a refund which I still have not received even though they said they would. And on top of all of that UPS screws it up even further by sending it across the country. I really wish Amazon would stick with FedEx. So you would think that by now Amazon and UPS would try and fix the situation, nope. Instead UPS gives me the same run around and tells me there is nothing they can do except ship it Ground delivery back in my direction, which will be delivered by January 16th, 2014. Oh and today I go to buy some Cascade ActionPacs and it says Prime, I go to place the order and it no longer gives me the option for 2nd day delivery or overnight. Instead it gives me 3-5 days shipping which is UPS GROUND. I pay $79 for UPS Ground now. Deceptive business practices from Amazon.

Amazon Prime means "maybe in five days"

Not sure what the one rebuttel is talking about but I've done hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of business with Amazon prime and the prime packages arrive late 2 times more often then they arrive within 2 days.  It's like rolling the dice but I run a small city and it beats getting in my car and going and picking everything up.  You know they'll get it to you but prime or not, you never know when and if you have a complaint about how long prime took to deliver to you, GOOD LUCK TALKING TO AMAZON ABOUT IT :)

For example, on Dec 14, ten days before Christmas, I ordered 11 $25 dollar gift cards for Outback steakhouse through amazon prime expecting them to arrive within two business days or five days at the latest which would still get them here before christmas.  My cards just arrived via ups 23 DAYS LATER (6 January) and amazon doesn't allow returns on gift cards. Guess I'll be eating a lot of steak at outback. DO NOT BUY GIFT CARDS OF ANY KIND FROM AMAZON you can't return them and amazon really doesn't care about any problems they've caused you with regards to gift cards.

Having said that, most of my other experiences with amazon have been ok.

A different experience

We have also had Amazon Prime for a little over 3 years and out of about 15 or 20 orders have never had a single one late.

I don't doubt you had something get delivered late but it's not a normal characteristic of Prime for the shipping to be late. We lave it and will keep usning it.  We use a number of their other Prime features too.

No! I do not work for Amazon, I'm just a satisfied customer.
