American Debt Relief ripping off my bank account. They are a scam, they don't do anything they promise

I sent in a application for debt relief and then proceeded to talk with the people there and found out that my payments would be cheaper to pay my credit cards off that way seeing as I could not make the regular payments on the cards.(they were literally cut in 1/2 with this co.) They said they would get my interewt reduced and I would only pay 60% of the balances on my cards.

So I went ahead and sent the 1st monthly installment of $480.00. 2 days later a contact from the co. said they would have to raise my installment payments because they can not give you 5 years to pay it up only 3 years which brought my payments to the same amount as what I could not make payments on to begin with which made me contact the to start with.

On the contract they sent me it said I had 5 days to cancel their services in writing. So of course I did write to say that I want to cancel their services and I was to recive at least 1/2 of my 1st installment payment back and this happended on 10/29/01 and I have not been able to get a hold of them and the 1/2 of the installment has not been put back into my bank account and it is now 3 months later.

So beware when you contact these kind of places they are scams and they don't do anything they promise they will do and I now do not do any shopping on the internet because this site was found on a search from the internet. I sure wish I could get my money back but at least it has taught me that the internet is not the safe way to shop!!!!
