American Health Advantage Am I being Ripped Off? After reading complaints,I think, PROBABLY!! Lake Mary, Florida

I received a call from Stacy from American Health Advantage and she sold me a membership for medical discount costs. I asked her specifically if they helped those on Medicare and she said they have a lot of members who are on Medicare. She told me that I could save lots of money from doctors, dentists,and medicine. Since I take 9 kinds every day,I was ecstatic!    I did receive my cards in 10 days, unlike some of the other complaintants. But I tried to use the card on my prescriptions and the pharmacist told me they couldn't use it because I pay copays. 

I also went to the dentist today and they wouldn't accept it either.   I came home and looked up a list of providers and found 50 all at Aspen Dental (in which I will not go back there again,another story). It has only been 14 days since Stacy called me and only 4 days since I received my membership cards. I have 30 days to cancel, so I wrote them a cancellation letter that I will send out tomorrow. I asked for a return of the $198.00/yr plus my $25.00 enrollment fee. I guess I'll find out soon enough if I've been RIPPED OFF or not. I wrote that their plan wouldn't work for me.    I guess what they say is true...... If it sounds too good to be true,then it probably is!  :(
